Fossil Turtles and Past Climate Change

Do you live within driving distance of campus, and have an interest in fossil turtles and past climate change? Plan to attend the colloquium presentation Thursday, May 8 at 4 pm in Ackerman 210 (refreshments at 3:30).

Dr. Joe Corsini, Associate Professor of Biology from EOU's College of Arts & Sciences, will describe his research into the lives and times of turtles alive during the transition from the Eocene to the Oligocene epoch, which occurred during an episode of significant global climate change about 30 million years ago.

If you don't live close enough to attend, here's a link to a list of Library resources - websites, articles, and books - that support the topic. Colloquia are also advertised in the News section on the library home page, or beneath Services for Faculty.
